![]() ![]() Apart from the dwarf in the middle making an appearance, not sure why I grouped these together… Just dwarves. Centre dwarf with a homemade decal, one on right an old 40k transfer. ![]() Dwarfs on the left has a LBM medieval shield decal. ![]() General on the left has a homemade shield transfer. The banner is mostly decal/transfer aside from the purple frame. The two chaps on the right are part of another unit that needed ‘finished’. I think the difference shows and the homemade ones work for me. The four banners – the one on the left is mostly freehand apart from the hammers, the rest are decals. This particular batch of dwar-ves-fs contained no less than 4 banners so I thought it worth the effort (which was much and nowhere near what it would of taken to freehand these – if I could!). I’ll flip and flop between them because you’ll all know what I’m talking about anyway.)Īnother reason for this post was to show some rather promising results from home-made, home-printed, decals (transfers in the Queen’s language). I believe the former is Tolken’s doing and the latter is ‘correct’ if you asked the Queen. (I note that they are pluralising Dwarf in to Dwarves rather than Dwarfs. That aside, I’m posting these vertically challenged fellows to show off, once again, the superb dwarfs that can be had from Ral Partha Europe and their Demonworld range. So that never happened and by good luck more than good management, I made up a really nice variety of bases for Basic Impetus.Okay, maybe plenty of orcs and elves now that I come to think about it. My Basic Impetus Aztec army I put together with some figures I bought to try out the Black Hat Aztecs before making a full FoG army. There's one more that I'll take some piccies of when I've done some necessary repair work. The Burgundians have a ways to go - I'm missing a few bits from the previous FoG armies that made it up and may have to *gasp* actually pick up a few new bits and bobs. An army designed by it's creator to take the best of military science of it's day has possibly the worst win/loss record (and a pretty poor Goal Diff as well) of any army in the medieval era. The second is one of the most popular armies for ancients gamers - Burgundian Ordonnance. I'm slowly working my way through the process of painting the polyfilla black for basing and painting the last couple of bases that never got done for the FoG army - my "Crusaders" - although they were more likely just plain old mercernary German or Eastern European heavy horse Can't argue with that kind of service eh? They emailed that the box had shipped on the 17th. The Ronin figures meant that the shipping would be delayed until the 16th of May. So I ordered the next 2 boxes of non-Teutonic horse (for my Knechte and Turkopolen) as well as some character figures to finish up a warband for Ronin. The supplier took a bunch of stuff off the order and gave me credit on it in order to get it shipped. * I should say more as I think it warrants a mention. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to be crazy good at it. By the time I'm done, I'm going to be the best gosh darn painter of blended whites that ever existed. I am glad I decided that I could actually bring myself to make this army work and so help me, I am going to make it work. It's a lot) in each box that I should never have to actually put the same model on a base anywhere and I cannot adequately describe how happy that makes me. There are more variations (I didn't do the maths. These kits allow me to deal with my issues with so many manufacturers where, eventually, you have to repeat models.
